- Obtain Lockpicks:
- Purchase lockpicks from players, or craft them at a crafting bench.
- Find a Target Vehicle:
- Locate an unattended vehicle in a less populated area.
- Places like the casino, business district and Vinewood tend to have more higher value vehicles.
- Lockpicking the Vehicle:
- Approach the driver’s door and use your lockpick.
- You will see the lockpick minigame appear.
- Hold D to apply resistance to the lockpick.
- Gently nudge each pin in the lock. If the pin shakes whilst you are applying resistance then move to the next one.
- Set each pin in order whilst holding D to open the lock.
- Hotwiring the Vehicle:
- Once inside, you’ll need to hotwire the car. Press H to begin.
- A wire matching game will appear, similar to the one in Among Us.
- You’ll see a set of coloured wires on both sides of the screen.
- Your goal is to connect matching coloured wires from left to right.
- Click and drag to connect the wires.
- Complete all connections correctly.
- Success:
- If you complete both minigames successfully, you’ll gain control of the vehicle.
- The car will start, and you’ll be able to drive away.
- Avoid main roads as police may be notified of the vehicle theft and the number plate may flag on their computers.
- You can now take this vehicle to the chop shop to break down for parts, or use it for other means.
